Jairo Arcila is a third-generation coffee grower from Quindío, Colombia. After working for over 40 years as a mill manager, he began focusing on his own farms, starting with Finca La Esmeralda in 1987. Over time, he expanded to several farms, including Villarazo, Mazatlán, Maracay, and Buenos Aires, creating local jobs and supporting his community during each harvest.

With guidance from his sons, Carlos and Felipe, Jairo embraced specialty coffee, improving his processes and experimenting with varieties like Pink Bourbon, Java, Papayo, and Gesha. Today, his farms produce exceptional coffees that reflect both tradition and innovation. When he’s not on the farm, Jairo enjoys time with his family, good food, and simple moments that keep him grounded.

Coffee Processing Method:

After harvest, the cherries were fermented underwater for 30 hours before being pulped. The parchment was then gently washed and dried under temperature controlled conditions until it reached ideal moisture.

This micro-lot is 100% Tabi, a variety developed by Colombia’s National Coffee Federation. It’s a hybrid of Timor Hybrid, Bourbon, and Typica, combining resilience with sweetness and complexity in the cup.
