Coffee Beans FAQs
Single Origin coffees offer a pure reflection of their terroir, much like fine wine, showcasing the unique characteristics of the specific region where they are grown. On the other hand, coffee blends provide a canvas for roasters to craft a tailored flavour profile, combining beans from different origins to achieve a balanced and consistent taste.
Espresso roasts are crafted to emphasise a balanced flavour profile, with deeper caramelisation for sweetness and body, perfect for rich, creamy shots.
Filter roasts, however, are lighter and brighter, designed to highlight clean acidity and nuanced floral/fruity notes. Perfect for savouring the pure experience of the coffee.
It all comes down to your brew method and recipe! For filter coffee, you'll need about 15g per cup, while espresso calls for around 18g per shot.
For filter coffee, 1kg bag would make around 60 cups. And for espresso coffee, 1kg bag would make around 55 cups.
When you buy fresh roasted coffee, the expiry date isn’t the most reliable indicator of freshness. Coffee is at its peak for about two weeks after roasting, after which it gradually loses quality and flavour depending on storage conditions. Using appropriate storage, like an Airscape canister, helps extend its freshness and flavour significantly.
We highly recommend Airscape canisters, which help prolong the flavour and quality of your coffee. Avoid storing coffee where it might be exposed to moisture or oxidation, as these factors can cause it to deteriorate more quickly. For this reason, Airscape canisters are the recommended storage solution for preserving your coffee’s freshness.
We highly recommend getting your coffee beans directly from the roastery. This way, you guarantee freshness and higher quality compared to commercial grade coffee. We offer only fresh roasted specialty coffee, backed by an experienced team dedicated to crafting the magic in every cup.
