This coffee comes from the dedication of 542 smallholder farmers in Aileu, Timor-Leste, each working plots of around half a hectare. Through careful handpicking and centralised processing at the Gleno mill, their collective effort transforms small-scale harvests into exceptional coffee with remarkable consistency and character.

The Timor Hybrid variety thrives at altitudes between 1,550 and 1,600 metres, shaded by casuarina trees that help regulate temperature and protect the soil. These growing conditions, combined with patient processing, create a coffee that’s fruit-forward and smooth, carrying the balance and depth that define the best coffees from this region.

Coffee Processing Method:

Farmers carefully handpick ripe, red cherries and deliver them to the mill in Gleno. There, the cherries are sun-dried on raised beds, with frequent raking to ensure even drying throughout. The process takes around 18 to 22 days, resulting in coffee that’s clean, balanced, and full of the region’s natural character.
