La Divisa’s Gesha starts with cherries picked at ruby red ripeness, washed in spring water and shade‑dried to protect nuance. The cup rises with a delicate floral lift, flows into blueberry richness wrapped in sugar‑cane silk, brightens with a snap of lime, then drifts away crystal clean and lingering sweet.

Sebastián Gómez comes from a long line of coffee growers. Together with his father, he runs La Divisa Farm in Circasia, Quindío, a 13-hectare property sitting at 1,700 m and surrounded by native shade trees like Guamo, Guayacán, Gualanday, and Nogal.

His father, John, has cared for the farm since 1995, and after spending time abroad, Sebastián returned to Colombia in 2014 with a new perspective on specialty coffee. Inspired by what he had seen overseas, he and his family began shifting their focus from volume to quality, introducing varieties such as Geisha and Pink Bourbon.

It took patience, but the results spoke for themselves. Within a few years, their coffees began standing out for their clarity, sweetness, and complexity. Sebastián believes the real change in coffee over the last decade has been this move toward quality and differentiation, producing coffees that truly reflect the work behind them.

Coffee Processing Method:

The Anaerobic Washed fermentation process, the cherries were then exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped. The parchment was then gently washed and then dried in temperature controlled conditions until ideal moisture content was achieved
