Meet Our Coffee

Arsosala Washing Station brings together around 1,200 smallholders in the Uraga area of Guji. Coffee cherries are carefully selected, fermented overnight, washed and sun-dried for around 8 to 15 days. This coffee is a great example of community.

Each month, our roaster selects a standout coffee for filter brewing - one that’s captured their attention for its exceptional quality and unique flavour profile. These coffees embody everything we love about specialty coffee, highlighting the care and craft behind every bean.

Meet the Producer behind this Coffee

Arsosala serves around 1,200 smallholder farmers in the Uraga region. These producers grow coffee on tiny plots alongside their food crops. Because the plots are so small, the washing station acts as a hub for the whole community. It has been a staple in Guji since it was founded in 2015.

About the Coffee Processing Method

Arsosala is all about timing. Farmers deliver ripe cherries which are depulped the same day. They ferment overnight in open air tanks for about 12 hours. The beans are then washed clean and moved to raised beds. They spend up to 15 days drying under the sun to reach the perfect moisture level.
