Cooked Pineapple - Brown Sugar - Lemon - Toffee

Founded in 1995, Kiamabara bring together thousands of small farms near Kabare in Nyeri. Coffee grows alongside bananas and macadamia on fertile red soils, then they are washed, soaked and dried slowly on raised beds for clarity and balance.

Each month, our roaster selects a standout coffee for espresso brewing. One that’s captured their attention for its exceptional quality and unique flavour profile. These coffees embody everything we love about specialty coffee, highlighting the care and craft behind every bean.

Meet the Producer behind this Coffee

Nestled in Nyeri County the Kiamabara Coffee Factory is powered by a dedicated community of 3,000 smallholder farmers who cultivate exceptional coffee alongside local crops like macadamia and bananas. Benefiting from deep, nutrient-rich red volcanic soils and an ideal bimodal climate, this pristine environment provides the perfect terroir for high quality production. Since 1995, the factory has united these local producers to consistently deliver vibrant, complex harvests that showcase the very best of the region.

About the Coffee Processing Method

Harvested at peak ripeness and depulped the same day, this coffee undergoes a meticulous two stage fermentation. After resting in open-air tanks for 24–48 hours, the beans are channel-washed, submerged for an extended 12–72 hour soak to refine their profile, and finally sun-dried on raised beds.
