Meet Our Coffee

The Vides family realised the potential of their coffee after placing 2nd in Cup of Excellence in 2002. They doubled down on quality, built long term relationships and focus on hard work and consistency. This lot is named after the bright sunrises in their farm.

Each month, our roaster selects a standout coffee for espresso brewing. One that’s captured their attention for its exceptional quality and unique flavour profile. These coffees embody everything we love about specialty coffee, highlighting the care and craft behind every bean.

Meet the Producer behind this Coffee

The story begins in 1958 when Dr Jorge Vides, Renardo’s grandfather, bought a farm to plant Caturra and Bourbon. No one knew how far it would go until 2002, when the family entered the Cup of Excellence and placed second in the country. That result pushed them to invest further and build relationships with roasters around the world.

They still work with the same values today, focusing on quality, consistency and care in every step. The name of this lot comes from the sunrise views over the drying patios during harvest, a moment the Vides58 family holds close.

About the Coffee Processing Method

The cherries are handpicked with care. Once they reach the wet mill, they rest in sacks for a short pre fermentation. From there, they move to the reception tank and through a siphon that removes any damaged cherries or debris. The coffee is then screened for size and taken to the drying patio, where it dries slowly for 14 to 17 days.
