Who's Behind This Amazing Coffee?

At Blackboard Coffee, we value partnerships with passionate and skilled producers like Benjamin Gilberto Rivera. His farm, La Molienda, located in La Unión, Nariño, is a testament to his dedication to quality and sustainable coffee production. By supporting farmers like Benjamin, we ensure that every cup not only tastes great but also supports the communities that produce it.

The Varietal

This microlot features 100% Caturra, a natural mutation of Red Bourbon known for its high yield and disease resistance. Cultivated at 1,800 MASL, this varietal thrives in the volcanic ash-rich soil of Nariño, developing a complex and distinctive flavour profile that coffee enthusiasts will love.

The Process

The Colombia Caturra Washed undergoes a meticulous process that starts with the hand-picking of perfectly ripe cherries. After a 30-hour underwater fermentation, the cherries are pulped, washed, and dried under controlled conditions to preserve their quality. This careful process ensures that every batch delivers the exceptional taste and aroma you expect from a premium coffee.
